Product Overview
The equipment is built on an all-stainless steel frame, integrating a feed pump, multi-stage membrane modules, pressure gauges, regulating valves and an electric control cabinet as a fully integrated skid-mounted unit. All wetted parts adopt food-grade stainless steel material with sanitary piping connections, meeting strict food production hygiene requirements.
Different from traditional dead-end filtration, the system works on the cross-flow filtration principle: feed liquid flows at high speed along the membrane surface, while clear permeate passes through the membrane and concentrated retentate circulates back to the system. This cross-flow scouring effect effectively reduces membrane fouling and concentration polarization, extends continuous operation time and reduces cleaning frequency.
It requires no filter aids such as diatomaceous earth, produces no secondary waste residue, and can effectively remove suspended solids, colloids, bacteria and macromolecular impurities while retaining the flavor and nutritional components of the product. It is widely used for clarification, sterilization and refining processes in food and beverage production.
Equipment Features
- Sanitary all-stainless steel construction All wetted parts are made of 304/316L food-grade stainless steel with smooth polished surfaces and sanitary welded connections. There are no sanitary dead corners, and the system supports CIP (Clean-in-Place) cleaning, fully complying with food production hygiene standards.
- Anti-fouling cross-flow filtration technology The high-speed cross-flow scouring effect effectively alleviates membrane surface fouling and concentration polarization, greatly extending continuous operation time, reducing cleaning frequency and lowering long-term operation and maintenance costs.
- High-precision filtration with preserved product quality Available in microfiltration and ultrafiltration precision grades, it can effectively remove suspended solids, colloids, bacteria and macromolecular impurities. No filter aids are needed, no chemical residues are produced, and the original flavor, aroma and nutritional components of the product are fully retained.
- Integrated skid-mounted compact design The whole system integrates pump, membrane modules, instruments, valves and control system on one stainless steel frame. It has a compact structure, small floor space and convenient installation, and can be directly connected to existing production lines.
- User-friendly stable operation Equipped with a centralized electric control cabinet with operation indicators, pressure display and control buttons, it features intuitive and simple operation. The system runs stably and can work continuously for a long time with consistent and reliable filtration effect.
- Modular design for easy maintenance Membrane modules adopt standard modular design, which is convenient for replacement, cleaning and maintenance. The configuration can be flexibly adjusted and expanded according to actual production capacity and filtration precision requirements.
Working Principle
Different from traditional dead-end filtration, cross-flow filtration keeps feed liquid flowing tangentially along the membrane surface at high speed.
Driven by the feed pump, the material flows through the membrane channels at a high flow rate, forming a turbulent scouring effect on the membrane surface. Under the driving pressure, small molecular substances and clear liquid pass through the membrane pores to become permeate, which is discharged as finished clear liquid. Macromolecular impurities, suspended solids, bacteria and other substances are intercepted by the membrane and flow back into the system with the concentrated retentate for circulating treatment.
The high-speed tangential flow continuously washes the membrane surface, effectively preventing impurities from accumulating into a filter cake layer, thus greatly slowing down membrane fouling. Operators can adjust inlet/outlet pressure and circulation flow rate through valves to adapt to different material properties and process requirements.
